Many of Penn’s Western automotive customers who have operations in China are currently forced to import expensive fasteners into China to support local assembly operations, simply because the Chinese fastener industry has not been able to meet Western automotive quality standards. PennEngineering now provides a viable solution for China based automotive manufacturers seeking to localize fastener purchases to reduce cost while simultaneously improving quality and reliability of components.

PennEngineering’s “state-of-the-art” operations in China provide a broad manufacturing capability that brings most of the fastener manufacturing process under our control within our own facilities in Kunshan, one hour west of Shanghai. Penn currently has the capability to cold form a large variety of sizes and shapes, thread roll, screw machine, CNC machine, drill, tap, point, heat treat and plate - all in-house and under our control. A full QC lab, testing facility and tool making capability provide support to manufacturing and support fast turn-around.
